95 / 98 Dial-Up Setting Guide
1. Choose ¡§Dial-Up Networking¡¨
in ¡§My Computer¡¨¡¨
2. Click ¡§Make New Connection¡¨ in ¡§Dial-Up Networking¡¨.
3. Type ¡§hgcbroadband¡¨ in ¡§Type a name for the computer
you are dialing¡¨.
4. Type the dial-up no. in ¡§Telephone number¡¨ (30089288
or 30089388), and click ¡§Next¡¨.
5. Click ¡§Finish¡¨ to leave.
6. In ¡§Dial-up networking¡¨, use mouse to point the ¡§hgcbroadband¡¨
and click right button of the mouse. Choose the ¡§Properties¡¨.
7. Do not tick ¡§Use area code and Dialing Properties¡¨ and
click ¡§configure¡¨.
8. Change ¡§Maximum speed¡¨ to ¡§57600¡¨ and click ¡§OK¡¨.
9. In ¡§Server Types¡¨, only tick ¡§Enable software compression¡¨
and ¡§TCP/IP¡¨. Then, click ¡§TCP/IP Settings¡¨.
10. Choose ¡§Server assigned IP address¡¨ and Server assigned
name server addresses¡¨.
Then tick ¡§Use IP header compression¡¨ and ¡§Use default
gateway on remote network¡¨. Click ¡§OK¡¨ to leave.
11. Double click ¡§hgcbroadband¡¨ in ¡§Dial-up networking¡¨.
Type your email address as user id (e.g. xxx@hgcbroadband.com),
password and click ¡§Connect¡¨ to connect to Internet.
